Scholarships
The SILAN Society sponsors two scholarships for advanced training
in Neuroradiology for radiology residents in their last year of training
or for neuroradiology residents in training (Diagnostic scholarship)
and for graduating Neuroradiology residents (interventional scholarship).
The SILAN-MCG Scholarship is a two-month long intense diagnostic
neuroradioloegy training at the Neuroradiology Service of the Medical
College of Georgia, in Augusta, Georgia, USA. A total of six residents
per year are sequentially sponsored, selected on a competitive basis,
spending two months of extensive exposure to neuroradiology of the
brain, spine and head and neck. Each resident is provided of all teaching
material, lodging within the university campus, a $400 dollar/month
food allowance and personal attention and training by the program
director, Dr. Ramón E. Figueroa. The candidates should be fluent
in English, need to be recommended by their radiology residency program
director, and have to submit a complete curriculum vitae and a personal
statement about their interest in neuroradiology. Inquiries and submissions

Meet the selected scholars: Becados
SILAN-MCG
The SILAN-ENERI Scholarship is a one year long training fellowship
in Interventional Neuroradiology at the ENERI facilities in Buenos
Aires, Argentina, under the direction of Dr. Pedro Lylyk. Only one
SILAN-ENERI fellow is selected each year. The SILAN-ENERI fellow
will receive a monthly stipend of US $600 dollars through the year
of training, running from January to December each year. The selection
process is on a competitive basis. The candidates need to submit
a personal statement on their interest in Interventional Neuroradiology,
a complete curriculum vitae and a recommendation letter from their
radiology residency program director. Inquiries and submissions

Meet the selected scholars: Becados SILAN-ENERI
The SILAN-HGC Barcelona Scholarship ia a one year long training
fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology at the Hospital General
de Cataluña facilities in Barcelona, España, under
the direction of Drs. Leopoldo Guimaraens and Teresa Sola Martinez.
Only one SILAN-HGC Barcelona fellow is selected each year. The selection
process is on a competitive basis, and the candidates must have
completed their diagnostic training at the start of their fellowship,
to include formal training in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computed
Tomography and appropriate angiography skills. The SILAN-HGC Barcelona
fellow will receive a monthly stipend of US $500 dollars through
the year of training, plus room and meals in the Hospital General
de Cataluña. The candidates need to submit a personal statement
on their interest in Interventional Neuroradiology, a complete curriculum
vitae and a recommendation letter from their residency program director,
specifically stating their completion of required diagnostic skills
